  • Using Oil vs Nano CBD

CBD is available in several forms. There is oil based CBD (which is usually full spectrum or broad spectrum), there is CBD isolate – which by definition cannot be full spectrum and looks like a powder. Then there is Nano – which consists of shrunken down CBD molecules (Nano) and is water-soluble.

We chose to formulate our products using full spectrum oil and full spectrum Nano CBD. But it’s good to learn about these when choosing a product that’s right for you.

Let’s start with why like full spectrum –

There are all kinds of cannabinoid compounds present in our formulations, including a trace amount of under 0.3%THC. CBD is the predominant, then there is CBG, CBN, CBC along with a couple other derivatives. These compounds work together, often referred to as the entourage effect.

CBD oil is the most common form because hemp extract is after all, an oil. It gets mixed with MCT oil ( better carrier) because it helps absorbency.* CBD oil can be used internally, and as a concentrated topical – externally. Keep in mind that the oil takes a few minutes to enter your bloodstream and reach your cannabinoid receptors

Our Nano formulation is a blend using micelle nano-particle CBD. It’s full spectrum, and due to its tiny size molecules, it reaches the cannabinoid receptors super quick, giving you near-instant results. Because of these shrunken down CBD molecules, using Nano helps CBD bypass your metabolism. And does not have to be broken down in your liver. You generally need less, but probably have to use it more often, because it leaves your system quicker than using an oil based tincture.

Nano can be added to drinks (tea, water, whatever you want) mixing right in since it is water-soluble, rather than having an oil ‘blob’ on top of your beverage.

    Using Both NANO and OIL

We recommend using both Oil and Nano. Of course,  it depends on why you plan on using CBD in the first place.

Most people start out by taking a small amount of CBD Oil every day, and see how they’re doing over a couple days. Keeping a journal of your daily dose is a great idea to keep track of the amount you take, and how you feel.

Since not all days are the same, you may discover you need something fast acting – in which case you would take Nano because of its instant bioavailability.

But generally you would continue using your oil every day, and occasionally sub in Nano. Think of it as your on-the go CBD.
